The St. Michael High School Cross Country program has a tradition of excellence. The team has earned numerous state championships and accolades from all over the state. The secret to the team’s success is really no secret. Team goals are a priority, followed by discipline and courage. Success then follows. Parental involvement is a trademark of the Cross Country program, as well as hosting Friday Night Feasts for local middle schools and hosting three races at Highland Road Park, including the Louisiana Middle School State Championship each November. SMHS Cross Country athletes succeed on the trails but more importantly, they succeed in life.
